We are having a boy iyh very soon and thinking of naming our son Reuven after a family member. I’m not so mad about the name I just know it will mean a lot to the family. I guess the name will grow on me. What nicknames are there for Reuven?

We have many Reuvens in our family. Named after my father in law, who I never met, & was a very special man. (He was known as Ruby)
Rubes, ruves, that comes to my mind now.
Actually my daughter in law calls my son Roo -
Which I think is cute.
But I never gave it much thought about giving the nickname, It kind of evolves over time.
We have so many Reuvens in our family that my daughter named her son Reuven, so she has a brother & son with same name.
If the person was a good man , & I really think my father in law was a hidden Tzaddick, I think it’s so beautiful when the name gets given again & again.

We spell is Reuvi 
It's a very cute name in my opinion and we call him mostly Reuvi but there are some Reuve'le and Reuvels and Reuvs and Reuvi roo in the mix

My gf was reuven and I wasn’t so in love with the name but I knew it was the right name to name (second grandson to my parents and the first was named for the other gf). I named it and never regretted it. I love the name now! It’s a not so common name but still totally normal and not interesting at all. And he’s a delicious boy!
Mostly call him reuven but here and there ruves...
