Oh my, you girls are amazing. Those are such amazing hacks. Gotta try some of those myself and see what happens.

Oh, talking about facial cleaners, I think cumin or cinnamon sounds like a smart bronzer. Try applying it with a blush brush.

If your dishwasher is working but there is no water coming in....
Before you call the repairman make sure nobody turned the water off.

Unless you like giving 65 bucks for a service call.

Out of blusher? Forgot to check if yours is kosher lePesach? Use beets - cut a section off and color your face.

I love this thread! Thanks for starting it. Makes me feel so validated that I'm not the only one who does these kind of things Can't Believe It
On that note... If you're going to hide your dirty Friday night dishes in the oven, because you don't want to wash them up in cold water, but you also don't want your shabbos lunch guests to walk into a kitchen full of dirty dishes... Make sure to take the dishes out of the oven before you turn it on on motzei shabbos. If you forget, the smell of burning plastic should hopefully remind you, as the lid to your container slowly melts on the oven grate TMI

Meh..
I know this hack for years, and keep doing it At wits end

omg this thread is ssooo funny!!
I really needed the laugh, literally laughed out loud!!

if you decide one week to set your hotplate to go on shabbos afternoon to have hot food for the baby, make sure youve left some random bits of food and kitchen stuff on it, so you only realise its on when you smell burnt plastic!

youl get some really interesting lopsided contsiners of food and bright green plastic marks form the green knife that was sitting ther.

Well, I know this hack too. See me running around my house to find the source of what's burning!

I always drink lemon juice and seltzer. Nothing that amazing happens. Add sweetener and it tastes like Sprite!

When making hard boiled eggs, be sure to put the eggs in cold water to warm up on the fire, not drop them into boiling water.

When letting your kids cook for the first time, be sure to tell them that your plastic cutting boards are not cooking sheets.

Also, oven timers are your friend. Unless you like to play, "What's that smell?"

Did you have too much fun shaking around that bottle of soda and now it's all flat? Just add a drop of dishsoap and shake some more. It'll look exactly the same. There's no way that Mommy will ever find out what you did.

My son tried this hack. It took hours for the taste to leave my mouth. While bread was the most effective it still wasn't magic...

If you don’t like the taste or smell of eggs, just add cocoa, flour, sugar, and butter, and bake for 30 minutes

Always check any pan going into the oven for stray knives.

IM embarrassed how many of these hacks I’ve missed in life.

I’ve actually

Cleaned an immersion blender while plugged in (bad idea)
Drained the broth from my chicken soup
Cooked my dishes in my oven post Shabbos (melted Pyrex covers) and once even started broiling them
Touched metal skewers on the grill
Boiled out the water from my egg pot
Left ice pops out of the freezer for hours on a hot day

And many more unfortunately.

If only I’d have found this thread earlier.

Do not try to make slush with a closed can of coke, by putting it in the freezer unless you would like to spoon coke slush from the freezer, directly. Can't Believe It

Another one for today

If you smell smoke, that means something is burning and if you smell gas, the oven is about to explode (yes I’m exaggerating) and you better turn that oven off before anything happens chas veshalom
