We can leave the mask debate for one of the many threads discussing that. I want to address a different aspect. I understand that people in Lakewood think the virus has passed and I hope they are right. Even if I don’t agree with ignoring signs and walking into stores without a mask, when half the employees and the owner aren’t wearing one, ok I get that you might not either want to wear one. However, I went to a grocery store today where they were actually enforcing the rule at the door, making sure everyone is wearing one and giving out to those who didn’t have. Yet even with that, there were those who slipped them down to their chin once inside. I just don’t get it. Truly want to understand the thought process behind it. And would you attempt this in a non Jewish store? Not that it makes it better if you would.. why do people think that rules just don’t apply to them when everyone else is following them?

There is a psychologist named Dr. Todd Grande who has a youtube channel. He is really interesting, he is also a professor at Columbia and he has a practice. He has many videos on different personality profiles and other psychological topics. He has a really good video about the personality profile of someone who refuses to wear a mask (he made this video 2 weeks ago). Here it is. Enjoy!
