There really should be a "nosh" category.
I added this to my repertoire of flavored nuts. It was easy to make and seemed to be a hit based on there being no leftovers 
An assortment of homemade flavored nuts makes a nice hostess gift if you are eating at someone's house.
SWEET AND SOUR NUTS
Excerpt From: Jane Green - Good Taste
Ingredients:
1 large orange, rind and juice
1 lemon, rind and half juice
½ cup olive oil
¼ cup honey
¼ cup brown sugar
3–4 good shakes white wine vinegar
½ pound pecans (or other nuts)
Packet of sweetened cranberries
Salt and pepper
Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together, except nuts and cranberries, which you mix together in a separate bowl.
Combine the 2 bowls, spread mixture flat on cookie sheet and toast in oven for around 20 minutes.

Nice! I take marinated olives and roasted chickpeas. I once did fried lentils (was delicious but must be eaten as soon as comes out of pan)

That sounds excellent. There is a takeout place in Los Angeles which is famous for their chickpea salad. When the Los Angeles Times printed the recipe, I made it and it was great.
I have read that roasted chickpeas makes a nice snack. I have never tried roasting them but they theoretically get crunchy like nuts but are healthier.
