Lol I didn't see this till now!!
The reason I want to go to Lancaster is because I saw a very pretty cottage like place that is located on a farm and not far from other attractions.
The best of both worlds kind of...
If I remember correctly its not far from a minyan by car. (I did not plan to go for a shabbos for minyan reasons.)
Now, I've been looking for the link to that place all over but I can't find it!
It was beautiful.

So you’d sit in the pretty cottage and see chickens and cows from the window?
What else happening there? Is it interesting for kids?

It's amazing for kids. Cherry crest farm , Dutch wonderland, and million other things to do. Check out chabad Lancaster website. They will send you pdf of wonderful things to do

Dutch Wonderland is a few minutes away.
Sitting on a farm is not that bad for younger children but you're right that for the older ones it might be boring.
Hence the reason I didn't go anywhere yet.
