I went to a random haircut place and the lady said my scalp is not normal and needs clarifying shampoo. She could tell that I used head and shoulders and said that because of the build up on my scalp I must use clarifying shampoo. Never grew up with this and the only thing I find with my scalp is that I get itchy.
Can anyone tell me about clarifying shampoo - I never use any products on my hair aside from shampoo 2x a week. Why would I have buildup and buildup of what??

Could be you need to brush your scalp more because the build up is from dead skin cells. Could be the shampoo doesn't get fully rinsed out. Supposedly an Apple cider vinegar rinse is good for clarifying. You can Google--be careful how much vinegar to how much water, because too strong of a vinegar solution can be harsh on your skin.
