I got this highchair as a baby present from a freind in London.

Peg Perego Siesta High Chair with Splat Matt - Licorice https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007.....6N3R7

Its around $300.

Now, I need to give a gift to someone (close friend) and was thinking of my gift I got. But zi dont want to spend $300. I think max $175.

What other things are essential for new mothers that they would use often but are not clothing/blankets?

Thank you

Wow! You're a great friend.

For that price you could buy her a nice baby carrier (BabyBjorn or LilliBaby are great brands), or a good baby bouncer (the BabyBjorn one is excellent).

Baby swing
Nice diaper bag
Snowsuit
Bunting
Infant/car seat
Nice blanket
Sweater set
Some cheaper things, can buy more
Bath set for baby
Paci clip
Bracelet-for a girl
Perfume
Such an organizer to put diapers, wipes, powders, lotions etc. Can't recall where I saw it. You put it over baby's crib.
Then a gift certificate to a toy store, she can buy for every age/stage something new. Or gf to baby clothing store, they usually have some of the stuff mentioned, let her choose.

Love this idea, but maybe rather give her a gift certificate for a crib set so that she can choose one that's her taste or that coordinates to the baby's nursery.

I love the photo shoot idea as well.
Linen sets for cribs are cute, but only for once the child turns one. Until then the crib should be empty.

Photo shoot might be a luxury the parents wouldn’t splurge for otherwise.
