There's not much to do in Deal but there are places in the surrounding area's, about 1/2 hour drive. We usually go just to relax, eat out, and walk the boardwalk. We've gone to Jenkisons Boardwalk, there's a lot going on there. There's water activities like jet skiing, boating, kayaking, about 1/2 an hour away.

There's a bike rental in the area about a 10 minute drive. I think it's called pedego.

We did it last year. Temp was 55. By chance.mid January. Twas heaven. We did the waves hotel in long branch. I heard a kosher restaurant opened up on the top floor since. But dunno whats doing now with covid.

The rooms are pretty small there. We went to the ocean place spa for a few hours. We walked the boardwalk. Its a perfect local getaway.

How far is it from Staten island? We went from monsey. And local I mean as in not flying.

Sheraton eatontown is great! 10 minutes from Deal Beach and beautiful clean rooms and main areas. Last time we stayed there we told them it was our anniversary and they upgraded us for free to a gorgeous honeymoon suite

Deal is about 45 minutes from Staten Island, that's considered a local vacation.
I'm from Monsey, it's 1 1/2 hrs and I call it a local vacation.
