I am making sesame chicken for supper tonight. Yum. (I am celebrating my freedom of having finished a six week subbing job that left me with no time, and sesame chicken is a food we love=celebration.) I just found two other sesame recipes-Sesame Noodles and Sesame String Beans. Does it make sense to make them all for supper tonight-like a sesame supper? Or is it too much sesame for one meal?

I need answers quick because I need to prepare supper now.

Thanks in advance.

(getting off the computer to put up the chicken. will come back in about 20 min to check for answers.)

Usually when you decide on a menu, you should look for a variety of flavors that will mingle well with one another and a variety of colors. If one of the dishes has a strong flavor, then others should be blander to balance.

I wouldn’t make string beans with sesame chicken because it would need to be salty & peppery or something. I usually steam broccoli and make Chinese rice.

Also, I don’t make nugget size chickens. I just bace the raw cutlets with sweet sauce for 30 minutes, easy does it!

ok ladies. thanks for the advice. I listened and made mashed potatoes instead. sounds better?
now I need to come up with a different food (chicken or fish) that would go well with either of the other two sesame things-the noodles and the string beans. Any ideas?

I did sesame chicken last night with, on the side, a package of frozen stir fry veggies & chinese fried rice.
