Interesting, my 6 year old has been avidly reading them and I didn’t even think that maybe she is too young. I will ask her if she thinks if it was scary.

I read them all when I was younger. I never had any nightmares from them and I loved the stories. I read them to my kids now all the time and my kids love them. (my kids are younger, so I do check to make sure they're not so scary before I read it to them)

Why are you upset? Don't you think it is important that kids know the dangers?
The story did not give any details - just that the man "hurt" her.
