She lost her husband and lives with an older single daughter. They are living in Brooklyn now and want to relocate to Lakewood.
They have relatives in the twin oaks area and would want to be near them for shabbos.
They are very quiet. Not very social. They could probably use some friends...
Where would a lonely 70 year old woman be comfortable?
Any suggestions?

Will she be living with her daughter? Assuming her daughter isn't a senior, I doubt she would want to move to a senior living complex.

Right
But it’s an interesting idea though.
Maybe her daughter can live elsewhere?
I think the plan was that they wanted to buy a small house .

As far as I know Coventry is young. Seniors are mostly in the senior communities. Housing is much cheaper there. There are of course some seniors in every neighborhood but they don’t have the chevra you’re looking for.
She could buy on her kids’ block to be near them, that’s what lots of seniors do.

Do you mean a 55+ moving in with adult children? Yes that’s ok.

Do they allow adult children under 55?

How is this different from the Lakewood courtyard? Are they owned by the same people? I see they are next to each other.

Laurel in the Pines condominium complex has some seniors living there. Some units are more suited to seniors than others (you need a ground floor unit.) And it's beautiful, right on the lake, so conducive to walks, relaxed living, etc....but no where near twin oaks...and with it's proximity to Yeshiva, units there are at a premium now due to couples not going to Israel so much because of COVID situation....

Thank you to everyone who gave a suggestion.
It’s all very helpful.

Does anyone know if brookhill would be a match? From what I know it’s a younger crowd and mostly chassidish which they are not.

What about Village Park/Cabinfield Circle? I know there are some townhouses there, tho no idea if any for sale. That is an older area with many people already grandparents... so maybe it would be ballpark in terms of ages.

She has to be proactive in making friends anywhere she goes. None of the above neighborhoods have a substantial amount of seniors. Only the 55+.

Enclave is a very close knit 55+ community. Not walking distance to the neighborhood mentioned.
