I actually wrote it a while ago, back around Tisha B'Av, but I fixed it up tonight. Sharing because I'm trying to keep motivated to do stuff and stay emotionally afloat. I only wrote the lyrics to this one. I used the instrumental track for "Disenchanted" by My Chemical Romance.

Here's the link:

And here are the lyrics:
-----

Geulah Song (Instrumental track: “Disenchanted” by My Chemical Romance)

Well I was born in a place so far removed from the scene
Where generations ago, we knew we’re all meant to be.
I know one day we’ll come home,
But it’s hard to feel what that means.

We lost our way in the exile, distorted Your call.
We are content just to visit and to pray at the Wall.
We forgot what we’re missing,
And that’s the saddest part of all.

Oh, ohhh…

We don’t belong
Out in the darkness, so come on…
How could you leave us with hope almost gone,
You know we haven’t worn out everything….

We’re still the same ones we were back then,
The ones you took out of Egypt, gave the Torah, and then
We fell again and again, but You never let it be the end.

Fast forward past the crusades, the persecution and war,
Through all the shadows of history to when we were born….
Our generation is aching, but most of us don’t know what for.

Oh, ohhh…

Please take us home.
Don’t leave us out here all alone.
We want to come back to You, but You know
That we cannot do it on our own.

Hashiveinu eilecha
V’nashuva
Chadesh yameinu k’kedem.
Yibaneh HaMikdash.

You’re still the same One Who loved us before.
From our earliest days, now and forevermore.
Bring all the pain to an end.
Don’t make us hurt again.
Ki va, ki va, ki va moed!

Please, God, we’re begging You, and
Yehi Ratzon milfanecha - make us part of Your plan.
Chadesh yameinu k’kedem,
Bring us back to our land.

Please, God, we’re looking to You.
Help us do what is righteous and true.
Bring all creation full circle,
All that we want is You.

Wow kiwi! Beautiful and moving song.
Was crying while listening.
Just in time when I can use chizzuk in life when going through challenging days with lots of struggles.
Your other song kept me going for some time.
Keep using your voice to inspire others

Thank you Powderblue Heart I'm trying so hard to keep hopeful these days. Things are good, B"H, but also challenging. I'm trying to just maintain the status quo for a while and not fret too much about doing more than that for now. It's hard. I always want to have a project I'm passionate about, or some other main focus that's fun and exciting and productive. Right now I'm still just regaining strength post-op and trying to keep the blahness from getting to me. Thank you for listening to my song and sharing your thoughts about it. It means a lot to me to have somewhere to share and people to connect with. Heart

There was a man singing afterwards. At that point you can hand over the 🎧 to DH

I'm sorry, NaturalMom. I thought it was clear from my OP that it has kol isha. I feel bad it caused tension.

ExtraCredit, it's me singing, but I didn't play or write the music for this one. I used the backing track for a well-known song. Smile

Right I left it on after your song ended and the next song was a man.

Anyway, great job!
