My son (9) has anxiety. He also has a hard time in school. He has tons of friends and does well in Hebrew ...loves his Rebbi etc. I am applying for an Iep because his reading is really bringing him down in all English subjects. He is in 4th grade and his anxiety seems to be escalating now that school has so many corona changes. My husband (who also has anxiety) thinks we should medicate. I am strongly resisting since he is so young and I want to try more Consistent therapy. I’m scared to put him on a medication like this at 9. Please put my worries to rest or face reality?
