You need to request a swatch before you order anything.
I recently remodeled and looked at on-line sources for some fabrics and there were quite a few that were completely awful in person when I saw the swatch.
Also if one is getting a pattern, do you have the kind of eye that can envision what the fabric will look like when it is actually on the sofa?
Lastly, for any upholstered fabric, take some time to educate yourself on durability of various choices. There are certain industry standards like "rub tests". I have a chaise upholstered in a very light color and it is theoretically stain resistant so I tested the swatch with various things that could theoretically have dropped on the material in use to see how the fabric held up.

Try hobby lobby
I bought black of that kind of material for my kitchen chairs there. I first went into the store and saw what they had but they didn’t have enough of what I needed so I ordered online.
