OP I totally hear your concerns. I haven’t bought a dresser for my son yet because of matching furniture down the road. I have his stuff in a makeshift thing in his closet.
I think you should get a second crib. Sounds like you make need two for a little bit. It’s not unheard of in large families to have two cribs. This way you can get one that matches with the second room.
