Appropriate for my 6 yo?
The violence doesn't bother him. Imdb says there's one line where a guy says "hugging myself looks like 2 people making out." That's the only questionable line in the movie.

The violence doesn’t bother him? It should bother you! He’s 6! ( and I never watched It, just jumping on that line)

He's a boy. It's lego characters shooting lego guns and jumping into lava etc.
that's what boys do all day- play cops and robbers and "shoot."
I don't love it in an ideal world but it seems this is a normal sort of outlet.
It's rated PG.

It does have the word “butt” in it, and general “friends ribbing each other” type humor that I don’t like - it’s common in secular media for people to jokingly insult one another to show affection, but my boys are total mimics and think that’s hilarious to repeat.

Not desparate. It's just that he's obsessed with it because of his friends talking about it, and wants to watch it on YouTube but I'd rather have the DVD so he can be off the internet.
He's already watched some of the lego ninjago YouTube Confused

My 6 year old watched it but his older brother was 8 at the time.
Yeah its a little "violent" but not in a real life kind of way. It is lego characters my kids are very well aware its completely fake and not real life.
