Kindle
But know what you’re getting into. Without limits you may have a little monster on your hands

Isn’t the Kindle just for books?
I plan to aggressively monitor her screen time, no worries.

No we have kindle and it came with a heavy duty kids cover so it’s pretty indestructible

Sprout cubby channel, comes pre loaded with videos, and only needs wifi when setting up.
Cheapest I found.
You can insert an sd card with additional videos.

Don't let your child watch YouTube Kids. It puts through tons of garbage even on the kids channel.
Get the Amazon Fire tablet. Comes with a shatter proof kids case. Set up Netflix on age appropriate child mode, add Disney, and disable all browsers so they can't access any internet.

Are you sure you can disable a browser on the fire tablet? I have it and was told that it isn't possible.

My husband got rid of it. I'm not technical like him so I don't know how.

I set up parental controls and took it off (for my kids to use zoom). I would not let YouTube through though. No way.

Kindle fire with the kids proof case and shatter proof screen protector.
We have tiny tap (worth paying for the subscription) and netflix kids. DC also zooms with pre school and family members.
I can also upload videos from the morah that I get on whatsapp that she can watch herself.

You think you are disabling it but a tech savvy kid (my son 🤨) can figure out how to bypass it easily.
I brought the tablet to TAG and they said there is no way to completely get rid of it and they discouraged the tablet.

Find something other than youtube. Even the children’s setting can get quite nasty. There are some really sleazy pepoplebout there who know How to work the algorithms.

I agree on the youtube its only allowed if I am in the room like when my 5 year old gets up at 6am he will sit in my room and watch thomas the train but I can hear every word and can quickly grab the phone from him if I hear something I dont like. I would not let small children watch a youtube video in a seperate room from me.
