Anyone done this?
I conducted a brief search of the site but didn't find any threads that matched.
I cooked too much pasta (small shells) and would like to keep half for another time.
Should I freeze plain and dry?
Should I freeze with tomato sauce and cheese?
Should I make into a Kugel and freeze?
TIA

You can definitely freeze! It freezes very well!
Plain or in sauce.
Or in kugel if you feel like having kugel!!

Thanks! I just got home and don't feel like patcherai. I'm going to label it and put it in the freezer as is.

I've frozen plain pasta many times. I usually freeze in containers and when I'm ready to use I pour boiling water into it and let it sit for a couple of minutes, then drain. If some of the pasta is still frozen, I do it again, sometimes I take off the pasta that is not frozen anymore and then do it again.
I find this works very well.
