I am a bit confused about the situation with measures against Corona in Israel.
Lockdown, curfew, red towns, all of Israel...??? I don't see through it.

Could anyone who knows what's going on enlighten me?

The government is hashing it out.

No one knows what's going on just yet. Wait patiently.

Where did you see this exactly?

So far I read that likely Ben Gurion is excepted from the lockdown. No final decision has been made as of yet.

If you understand Hebrew, Bibi is speaking tonight. I expect that the 8pm time will be delayed by half an hour, due to government bickering. But, you are welcome to listen when it happens.

It. Has. Not. Been. Confirmed.

If they would get cancelled, it's only from Friday. People are getting nervous though and some have moved their tickets to tomorrow, they're worried they won't be able to get out. Especially chassanim from abroad who are in Yeshiva here and are scheduled to get married soon.

No. One. Knows. Yet.

Wait for the vote, and wait for the announcement.

I get that it's not easy. But just sit tight.

The airport is expected to remain open. But the country will be closed for three weeks, not two.

I'm pretty happy with this outcome. A good chunk of that time the kids would have been off anyway. There will be some loss of business, but many businesses can operate as usual with SD, and other stores can do deliveries. 3 weeks can make an actual impact in the numbers we're seeing.

I"m afraid it might stretch on and on, though. That would be hard.

When would the kids have been off except for the actual chag and chol hamoed? Between RH and YK there has been school for a few years already.
Im actually very upset that there will be no zoom classes during that time.

They're in school a few days here, a few days there. It's not really quality learning time.

My daughter has three days in school and then complete days of learning 2 other ddays, on zoom. It is what it is, but in my opinion, its better than nothing.

Why not? I'm assuming there will be zoom on any day there would be regular classes. At least for kids in grades 5 and up, who can sit and do zoom.

The teachers will insist on doing zoom so that nobody suggests docking their pay.
