If everyone took elul & the asseret yemey t'shuva seriously, no argument should go on for more than one year, because R"H or Y"K of the following year, everything should be solved.

Yet, in practice, there are many arguments, broges, that go on for longer.

Is the expectation to get rid of everything before r"H or Y"K simply not realistic?
Or do people not take this seriously, even if they take other mitzvot very seriously?

I am so happy to meet someone who doesn't.

Around me, everybody bears a grudge to somebody, so that the politics and logistics of it become almost impossible to handle...

Apologize honestly, not 'elul apology', and bring back what is destroyed and I may... trshuva isn't just "oh sorry "
