What should rent be for a typical 5 bedroom house in Sterling Forest?

I think all houses were built 20 years ago and are all pretty much the same size.

I’m not familiar with what they typically ask but based on similar developments I’d say 1700 or 1800 if significant upgrades (they al say they’re upgraded but the question is does that just mean Fresh paint or do you have granite counters stainless steel and tiled backsplash)?

You can get brand new in prospect vines For 1900 .

Its crazy but all aparment drove up prices without anything changing. Landlords now have the upper hand. Please renters lets ban together and say we will not take the house for so much.

17, 18 should be the price. But it might have gone up to 2,000 cuz everything around it did

Amazing! Its probably the only place in the NY/NJ area that you can rent a 5 bedroom home for under $2000.

We are landlords and we have a very large 3 bedroom basement apartment. It has windows and is quite spacious for a basement as we kept no part for ourselves when we fixed it up over 10 years ago. we recently raised the rent to $1200 since that’s what people are charging for even smaller space. This includes utilities.
I’m sure at this point in time 5 bedroom homes are going for close to $2000. Everything went up recently.
It has nothing to do with mean landlords. It’s because there’s a high demand for rentals and a shortage now. New renters are offering a lot.

There’s a magazine publication called “masa umatan”. It is distributed weekly and lists all the rentals.

In Boro/Park/Williamsburg you pay that for a 2 bed/1 bath fourth floor walk up - back apartment (no patio).

That’s why everyone has been moving to Lakewood! Before rent hiked up it was unbelievable what people were paying for large houses and apartments. Now that everyone is here, traffic is crazy! Stores are packed. Can’t get into schools...

Where do you suggest people live in the meantime?
