My 12 yr old DD is bored all the time! She doesn’t have sisters her age and I can’t keep her entertained all the time.
We use screen time sparingly so that’s not a everyday option, otherwise she would be on it all day every day. She’s not a huge reader. She loves company but her neighbors are most of the time not available cuz they all come from big families. And She’s usually quick with homework.
Can anyone pls recommend ideas how she can entertain herself without the screen? It’s just a few hrs after school but she’s going off her mind!

Large puzzles

painting

A workbook/ guide book to practice drawing.

If you want to let her in the kitchen, a book that teaches how to make different miniatures. Or she can learn how to work with fondant and icing.

I forgot what it's called, maybe hook and eye needling?

Plastalina miniatures.

Are you willing to let her use a screen to Zoom people? Can she Zoom her grandparents every day, hang out with them?

I like the drawing idea! She actually loves drawing, I didn’t know such a book existed... She sometimes uses it as an excuse to get the screen for tutorials, lol

Exercise is definitely important. Any recommendations for Jewish instructors on YouTube?
