- Rachel Pomerantz books - Wildflower, A Time to Rend a Time to Sew, Cactus Blossoms, As Mountains Around Jerusalem, etc.
- The Pomegranate Pendant

So where does everyone find these old Jewish books?
I can't find them used, and on Amazon they are so expensive if available.

Was actually wondering about this book recently. I read it awhile ago in high schools so probably early 90s. It was translated from Hebrew, so I guess Israeli author. If I remembered the title or author I would try to track it down.
Most Jewish books I like are due to nostalgia, to be perfectly honest.
That said, the original versions of the Avner Gold books still hold up quite well.
And I will always have a soft spot for Exiles of Crocodile Island.
Most of Sarah Birnhack's books have held up very well, too though I bet some would never be published nowadays without major rewrites (for frum reasons, not writing style obvi).

You’re giving away your age! These are all books I read probably over 20 years ago!
All good books..

There’s also Search My Heart by Sara Birnhak. For some reason that book was one of my favorites back in the days...

Not the one I was referring to, anyway. The one I remember was published probably 1990ish, and had a dark blue cover. The girl who found out about not being Jewish was named Anat, I think. Narrator's name was Tamar.

I was thinking about the true story one were a BT women about to be married found out
Hidden:

she was a mamzer.

She took a job as a lawyer so she could make sure Jews getting a divorce would have a get so their children wouldn’t suffer like she did.

Found it: “Nothing But the Truth" by Leah Friedman.
It was sad and thought provoking. My friend who gave it to me to read had a parent with a bad gerus that affected her greatly. It made this book more meaningful.
