What am I doing wrong? When I put the duvet covers in the dryer they always get knotted. I tried using dryer balls and I tried drying each cover separately. Any tricks? It drives me nuts. I have to untangle them every 5 minutes and it takes forever to dry. Thanks in advance for your help!

do you close the zipper or buttons before putting them in the wash/dryer? I've found that helps.

Close the duvet covers before washing. That works for me.

Thanks for the quick responses! I do close the zippers/buttons. Any other suggestions?

Usually, the fuller the dryer, the better it will fluff. (If I try to dry 2 big undershirts by themselves, they scrunch up and come out twisted and barely dry, but if those same wet undershirts are in a full loaf of wet clothes, they dry beautifully).
Have you tried drying 2 full sets of linen at a time (linen for 2 beds)?

Drives me crazy too. And drying them individually just means they get tangled into themselves

Yes, I tried 2 full sets and everything got into one big knot which was hard to untangle. That's why I started to dry them in smaller batches. They're still tangling, but they're easier to unknot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I feel for you. And yes, they still get tangled.

For sure zip them. Also make sure that the dryer filter isn’t sticking out even a little bit. If it’s sticks out then laundry can catch on it and then get wrapped around ... eventually it gets free but is then all scrunched up.

I dry such things on our laundry rack. Flat out and nothing gets wrinkled.
