I'm confused - what do you mean she has no money for section 8? My understanding is that people with very low incomes can generally qualify. Does she make too much money to qualify?
In any case, it looks like Beacon has a progressive Mutual Aid group. The Mutual Aid group in my neighborhood gets donations and grants and uses them for things like helping people with paying with groceries. It's not clear whether the Beacon one would help someone with rent but worth reaching out to them to find out.

But if she has hardly any money, then she should qualify for section 8. Section 8 is not something you pay for.
In any case, hopefully the mutual aid group can point her in the direction of better resources even if they can't give out money.
