The numbers suggest that this is incorrect.
America has seen excess deaths in 2020 far exceeding average death rates for the USA for normal years, and the number of excess deaths this year is quite a bit higher than just the number of listed Covid fatalities.
Other countries have discrepancies between their Covid fatality totals and excess deaths as well, and America's disparity is quite average among Western countries.
Unless we've had widespread problems with parachute malfunctions, it's ludicrous to explain America's significant excess deaths this year to something other than the deadly contagious pandemic that has been infecting millions.
