I have a GE oven with the cook time feature. I’ve never used it before so tried it today. When the time is up it just starts beeping. I want to have meat in my oven for tonight on a low temp but I don’t want my oven on for the whole yr. any suggestions?

You need to use shabbos mode and set it to go off this way it won’t beep

My oven doesn’t hv shabbos mode. Is there anything else I could do?

Are you sure it doesn’t have shabbos mode? Most GE ovens do. It’s a matter of pushing buttons in a specific combo
Can you put the oven on a regular electric timer

My GE oven has a setting for "Kitchen Timer" which just buzzes, and "Cooking Time" which buzzes and shuts off the oven. The buzzer goes off on its own, so its annoying, not problematic.
It also has a Shabbat timer.
If yours doesn't have these controls, google the model for instructions.

Yes. Do a search for the model number + GE oven.

Found it. Thank you everyone for your help. Apparently my oven has a shabbos mode and I wasn’t even aware of it. You live and Learn
