HI! Im looking for a pediatric dental specialist that can get a root canal or two done on my 5 year old daughter and not scare her from dentist. Up until now she's just been to dentist for check ups, now she's been complaining of pain and her regular dentist (not necessarily a pediatric dentist) suggested that she needs to see a pediatric specialist for dental work of a root canal or two. She's bh not scared of dentists so far and I would wanna keep her that way. Any suggestions of dentist accepting United healthcare community plan and accepting new patients in a kid friendly environment with maybe screens in the room to distract them? I live in Staten Island but Brooklyn would work too.
Thank you for any help you can offer...

I believe this is who my daughter goes to. The doctor's name is Dr Lutz.

Thank you for that info. Is BP Dentistry equipped with screens in the rooms and laughing gas to keep the kids calm during procedures?

They have screens. I think they may have laughing gas, but not sure. Child root canals take 2 minutes, unlike adult ones. My daughter was scared though and did cry through it.

OP Here:
I saw Dr. Zelman today and was very impressed by his manner and the office staff & promptness.
Im just worried about the amount of work he told me my daughter needs. Her original dentist said she needs some root canals, dr. Zelman took individual xrays of all sides of her mouth and said she basically needs work in all 4 areas of her mouth. Do you find that they're forever finding work that needs to get done in their mouths?
I'm afraid my dentist prior to this was the opposite and never found holes and that's why she needs all this work at once. What's your take on them if you have experience at all
