How much does an organizer charge? Does it go by the hour or job?
I live on a small apartment and figuring out a more organized system for things would probably do us a world of good...
Our apartment could use
1- general clean up of stuff we don't need. I don't keep garbage but don't have so much room in the apartment that we can keep everything without it looking cluttered. Things like toys that don't get used often, clothes I haven't fit into for a few years, games missing pieces that are kept for when we hopefully find the missing pieces, gadgets in the kitchen that are usable but we don't use to often (and could use the space).... Just need some help figuring out exactly what's worth keeping and a general push to throw out everything else.
2- advice on the best way to position things to make as much use out of every space as we can
3 - how to organize each space smartly - containers, labels or anything else... so things stay organized and do it in a way that makes sense specifically for my family - for example my baby gets into everything so setting it up in a way that there's not much he could get into....
Just trying to figure out if we can afford to hire someone (doesn't have to be someone very experienced just someone with a knack for those things) or I should keep trying on my own....
Does anyone have recommendations and prices?

I know in my area in Brooklyn the average organizer charges $60 an hour plus containers etc
What I personally did, I scheduled with a new one who was just starting at $35 and then pushed myself to throw out as much as I could before she came so I can use her hours to the fullest

That sounds like a good plan. But how do I find someone just starting it out? If she's starting out likely not a lot of people know of her....
