The second day of RH, DH started not to feel well.
He tested positive, so we are on lock down.
Dr. said to just assume I have it and not bother to get tested
Dr. said after 5/6 days from the onset of symptoms to get tested, both of us, and if we both test negative 2x we are good to go.
Is this true?
No 14 days
Does the virus leave so quickly
DH seems to have a mild case
No cough, no fever,
He has a bit of chills and fatigue and nasal congestion, headache and body ache
Dr. prescribed DH hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and azythromax
And he told me to take quercetin and zinc
If I come down with symptoms to call him
So far I only have an earache, maybe a bit of swollen glands

I think that might only apply to DH, not to you or anyone else exposed. Anyone exposed to your dh's case can take up to 14 days to show symptoms. If you don't have symptoms, you have to assume that you could manifest anytime in 14 days.

Good question. I'm not sure if it's from onset of symptoms or positive test. Probably at best it's from onset of symptoms and at worst it's from the positive test date (the date he was tested, not the date you were notified). How many days difference is in between in your case?

Most people don't follow doctors blindly. If my doctor is recommending something against the DOH and medical community protocols, I would certainly be skeptical.

To my knowledge, it's onset of symptoms or positive test, whichever comes first.

2 days difference
Then I get tested? Or just go on my merry way.
Dr. said both of us to get tested 5 days after on set of symptoms
I think his rational is that after 5 days it should show up on a test
Friday will be day 5
The test is drive through so we would be in contact with minimal ppl, just the one who is testing
