Don't teens always want to spend more time sleeping? This is his big chance!

Chores/jobs around the house? Hobbies? Start building the sukkah? (Not sure if they are quarantining with symptoms or without)

Start some home improvement jobs, like painting, wall papering, flooring and so on.

Should have specified, non symptopmatic teen who is isolated in a room away from the rest of the family so that no one else gets sick.

YouTube, Netflix, online video games with friends. Sleep. Eat. Repeat. At least that's what my teen is doing...

Been there. I had this in the Spring (and bh dd never got sick), but dd had online school already, so she at least had that to keep her busy.

Do they play any instruments? Lots of free lesson videos online.

Do they like to read? Do puzzle books (cross words, word finds, sudoku)?

Fitness videos (also lots free online).

Write stories? poetry?

Color/draw? Crocheting? (There are also color by number apps that, from personal experience, can take a lot of time if you wan them too...)

Call Bubby/Zaydie for a daily chat?

Frankly I let mine, when we were in lockdown, do her own thing, and tried to regularly have her do, learn or create

My 12 grade sister’s grade is quarantined, and she’s going out with all her friends as if there’s no pandemic happening

Not all mothers can stop 17 or 18 year old daughters from leaving the house. It's a difficult age.

That said, I would be furious.

🤷🏼‍♀️ not my kid, not my problem. My mother lacks this superpower called ✨ thinking for herself ✨. So this is what her friend told her, that there’s no school rule against it, and she thinks it’s the greatest idea and smartest thing ever.

There's no school rule against snorting cocaine either, or shoplifting.

I think the government actually made it a rule. Does civil law just not count?

Not arguing with you. Pointing out that it's not so smart of an idea actually.
