Usually our shul does Sukkot meals
This year no
I didn’t have to ever worry about buying fancy disposables
My building has a comunal SUKKA which we will be eating at
I’m usually frugal with ALL purchases
Frugal but nice, very nice
I don’t like to waste money even if I can afford it
I always try to find the best for the cheapest
I try to get the most bang for my buck,
But I want nice
On all other Shabbats and Yom Tovim I use real and wash

Now that I need to shlep to use the sukka I will have to buy disposables

I will use hard plastic
But with in hard plastic the prices differ a lot
Anywhere from .30cents- $1.20 per plate

I saw plates I really liked on-line

Is this wasteful
Should I choose a different cheaper design
At the end it will go to the garbage
On the other hand
It is Yom Tov

Love to hear what others think

This is what I’m looking at

I like the cutlery also but I’m not sure how comfortable to use though

But my main question is
Is it ok to spend this much on something that’s just going to be thrown away
It’s not a matter of affordability
I’m just usually frugal
On the other hand they are nice

That’s really pretty. If you can afford it, it will really enhance your yomtov meals! Go for it!

Thanks for all the suggestions

I like all of them except the lacy one.
I ordered the lacy one on Pesach
It got very messy when serving saucy foods

I need a 9inch salad plate which is what I liked from the one in close out connection

I was also looking at the trendables
Salad Plates are 8 inches

We are only 3 adults, so I may go ahead and splurge

As mentioned above I usually don’t cook for Sukkot, so I want something special.
Being that it is a building sukka I can’t decorate it much.

Not sure what you consider frugal, but I've been very pleased with Smarty Had a Party. They're owned by frum Jews, so things are packaged perfectly for Yomim Tovim and other events. Lots of nice options. I don't have fancy milchig dishes, so I buy from them every year for Shavuos.

This is the lacy one
https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....903c7

Since it has holes it may get messy if you overflow

Seems like that's the same one that cbg posted about with the holes. Thanks for the warning.

I had good experience with the clear gold glitter version that I posted.
