How to pass the time?
MP3?
Ipod?
Don't have any of these things. What to listen to while exercising?
If I want to exercise from a youtube video what's the best way to do it? Should I set my phone up somewhere ?
What are good exercise clothes? Good sportsbra?
Any tips?
Please help guide me in some of these things and any other tips for beginners.

This is my experience. The best exercise is the one you’ll do regularly. I started last November with step aerobics by Jenny Ford on you tube and later started walking outside with my husband. I went out for a quick little 5 miler tonight but I didn’t start that way. Do what you’re going to do.

I exercise regularly. I can't imagine having a day that I don't besides the holidays. I use a wireless headset so that I can watch a video and feel that I can move. I try to find something interesting to watch while I use the treadmill. There are a lot of good exercise videos on YouTube. I think the biggest thing is just to start and once you start to find something that you like so that you continue.

An exercise playlist makes a huge difference if you do treadmill, rowing machine, etc.

I find going to a group fitness class is really the most motivating thing for me. That way it's not a matter of what can I do to pass the time as the exercise itself is fun. (even if it's difficult & I'm not always in the mood before I start I'm always happy I did it by the time the class is over.)
It also helps w/ commitment bec class is at a certain time as opposed to me saying I'll work out after xyz..
Obv this doesn't work for e/o's schedule, interests etc.. Just putting it out there..

Get a bluetooth earpiece and listen to anything on your phone while you exercise.

I just discovered the Walk-at-home program by Leslie Sansone. I love it. I follow her videos on youtube, and she has so many. I pick the one that works best for my time slot (15 min, 30 min, etc)
In general, you need:
sneakers that fit well
moisture-wicking socks
pants or bike shorts
t-shirt
sports bra
junky tichel (like an old pretied), if you cover your hair while exercising
If I use a machine like elliptical or treadmill, I listen to music or watch a tv show.

Do you put these videos on on your phone or do you have a larger screen? Where do you prop your phone? And those who listen to something while exercising do you use a playlist on your phone? An mp3? What do you put your phone in if brisk walking or jogging?? Etc

That’s what I did before the pandemic.
