I saw a few cars from various news stations (Abc...don't remember the others) on 14th Ave and low 40s streets today when I went to shul in the morning and they were still there a few hrs later when I walked home... Any idea why they were there?

Probably to get footage on Jews going to shul on Yom Kippur without a mask? Just my guess
Edited to add:
Not saying people weren’t wearing masks! Saying the media probably assumed ppl weren’t going to and wanted to make sure they would catch that ONE person and blow up a whole story about the entire Jewish nation not complying

Now they're in the news due to upticks in the neighborhood.
There were vans all over Flatbush, as well.
