So ExtraCredit says that some people hear sang, blanket, blank like bland or sand (SAHng, BLAHnket, BLAHnk) as opposed to SAYng, BLAYnket, BLAYnk, etc. which I assume is creating the confusion.
I used the word hear because I don't think it's a dialect but rather way of processing the sound.

Not getting why Mississippi is incorrect.

Not getting why "Foot" is correct...

I would say
"Glass, but not paper"
"love,but not like"
"milan, but not Ohio"

If you’re from Mississippi it would be correct (mississipAH) but not if you come from most of the US (mississipEE).

Foot has the same vowel sound as book or cook, not the sound in tool, which sounds the same as tulle.
