Are their any kid friendly (and financially friendly) escape rooms near Brooklyn? I'd travel up to 1.5 hours. Kids are ages 5-14. Bonus points if it won't give them any nightmares. I find that most of them are haunted themes.

My 6-9 year olds really enjoyed Can You Escape LI the "once upon a time" room. My kids can't watch anything scary and they loved it. It's a fairy tale and most of the puzzles involve toys and games. And some of it is very hard so the older ones will enjoy too.

We almost did. We didn't ask for a lot of help but they do give you unlimited hints. I think it's around 8. Check the website.
