Any reputable neighborhood jeweler will repair jewelry. You don’t have to have bought it from that store. And there’s nothing special about Macy’s jewelry that would make it a problem for a professional jeweler. Now if you said the jewelry was from Cartier or Tiffany I would say bring it back to the original store.

There is someone I think his name is Sender Gluck who I have used. He was very good.
He advertises in the community connections.
Also I believe Jewelry by Esther might repair jewelry that wasn’t bought there
