It's 1:35 pm in NY and I still want to go somewhere. We already have a nice park trip planned for a different day. I'm fine with another nice park/hike/scenery but mostly if there's something to DO there/nearby too. Or something to see that's more distinctive than "nice space with trees and a pond." Everything I looked up is either closed for COVID or had no reservations left when I asked yesterday.
Have car, will travel. Not crowded or very strict on capacity/distancing/masks. Kids ages 7-10. No trampoline parks, I worry about signing away liability for our lives.

Governors Island has no more tickets for today
Bowling is a great idea except that my kids dislike it.
Need more than just a playground if possible...
Whyyyy can't we get our act together earlier

Is there a benefit of going to Bronx Zoo over Central Park Zoo or Prospect Park Zoo?

All these places close soon.
Also, can someone please clue me in about this farm museum thing? I keep seeing it recommended, I went once years ago and it was... not much there. What is everyone enthused about? I feel like I'm missing something?

Bronx Zoo is way bigger and cooler but if you want something closer to home (if your home is in Brooklyn) or more low key, Prospect and Central are VERY lovely zoos. For older kids they'll be very BTDT but for younger kids or kids who haven't done much zoo before, they are perfect.
