USA doesn’t feel like a Medina shel chesed anymore if you live in NY. What would be the next destination if need be?

Honestly, the problem is more that we forgot we're in galos and we became too comfortable here.
If we don't change, we'll have the same issues wherever we go.
That said, we'd be much better off in Republican states.

To Israel, of course. That's where Jews are supposed to be. And if you don't like the politics, vote.

We need to move to a part of the US that's more compatible with our values and lifestyle. Many are considering Florida

Generally conservative leaning states are more supportive of personal freedom, religious liberties, school choice and family values. Florida is an appealing option because it already has a large existing Jewish community

Just get ready to get much less from the government in those states from housing to education.

Right. This is why most people won't be open to moving out of NY.

South Florida will be a problem for many chareidi people because of the tznius issues and the huge party culture there.

Texas seems to be a very religious state that respects traditional values, and its senator Ted Cruz has been quite outspoken in support the frum community. Dallas and Houston both have very nice, growing communities that I'm sure would be happy to welcome new transplants (within reason). Like Florida, there is also no state income tax.

Perfectly true. But the land of EY is still the natural habitat of Torah-observant Jews.

Its true that they provide less welfare type benefits. However it's the same amount of money provides to the people just distributed differently. Florida has a voucher program so you'll end up paying a lot less in tuition, no income tax and lower property taxes. This enables self sufficiency compared to New York where living on a middle class income is practically impossible

What an astute statement.
Would you please elaborate?

I've been hearing a lot of talk about Florida. What about Texas as another possibility?

Not sure. The focus is now in Florida because it's on the east coast so closer to NY.
