BDY and Munkatch | Imamother

I know in the past there were several threads that go so derailed it was nealy impossible to make sense of them.

I'm moving to Monsey and have a two year old daughter. I was planning on applying to BDY (because shocker, I don't plan on groveling to get accepted by schools that don't want me).

Now that munkatch already opened, can parents that send to either of these schools tell me how you chose your school one over the other, if you switched out, and what I can expect in either one.

Its $625 per month without any discount
Also this includes everything throughout year. No additional money for trips, books, GO etc.
Even school supplies is included

Thats what a mother that sends her kid told me. Maybe they overcharged her or she didnt tell me the full truth. But anyways.

But they do charge extra for remedial & tutors. Most schools don't charge for remedial.

They want to be on a higher learning level. They have small classes so it's easier to give more individual attention for the kids. 1st grade has 8 girls.

I was told by the school that there's a charge for remedial. It was one on the points why I didn't put in there. My cousin has a kid there and she's paying extra for tutors.

They're both pretty much the same parent body only few differences
Bdy has some stricter rules. Munkatch doesnt expect anything of they're parents they're just striving for academics, higher level.
Depends what you are looking for
I know people in both schools. Bdy ppl are extremely happy its amazing warm neutral school run by an amazing rav. Munkatch still new so time will tell.

They are both focusing on inner growth. Munkatch will just learn more. And more in depth
Bdy is on lower acedemic level and more into middos, tznius....

Just verified this with a mother that her daughter has a tutor through school
They do NOT charge for it

This is strange. I met a mother in shul simchas torah and she said she pays for remedial.
