Could someone post Rebbetzin Kanievsky's challah recipe from the biography (not the BY cookbook), including the instructions?
Thanks so much

Scroll down. Enjoy! |
Thank you so much but this poster was asking for the BY recipe and I’m looking for the one in the biography. I appreciate your help though

I think I've posted it. I'll look. Meanwhile I'll tell you my he'oros.
I use bread flour.
I proof the yeast as directed, then add all the ingredients but flour.
I put 5 lb. of flour in a large stainless steel bowl, and add all the other ingredients, and then mix. I then start adding more flour, kneading by hand, for about five minutes. I know I use less flour than the recipe calls for but can't say how much. Like just about any bread recipe, you add less than the full amount and add as needed up to the full amount.
Then I let it rise, shape, rise, and bake.
I get 12 small challos out of this recipe. (The disposable oval pans that are just a little smaller than an 8x4 loaf pan.)
