I want the recipe for the King Arthur pasta from Tiberias in Manhattan.

I'd love the recipe for several of the pastas from Benny's in Flatbush.

There's a peanut butter mousse at Le Marais in Manhattan that had me tempted to buy their cookbook.

There are others. I've never asked, but my husband and I have complimented the chef.

I think the restaurant business is struggling enough these days without giving out their recipes. I wouldn't have the nerve.

You can try googling similar recipes or go with a foodie and they'll figure it out

There are books. Like Todd Wilbur's, and the kosher Restaurant Secrets books.
You can always ask.

LOL I brought a container of ready made veggie soup from Breadberry....

It has the ingredients in the back haha

It doesn’t list the “spices and herbs”

Dh offered pizza URI in Israel $1,000 for their pizza recipe. They declined.
He then asked for the sauce recipe.
Another refusal.

Personally, I don’t like their pizza and I don’t get the hype.

They won’t give it out freely but it’s a major compliment for them!

Nor the proportions nor the preparation instructions. But the spices and herbs are what really makes or breaks a dish, and that's why they're not identified.

Obviously I would never do that...
:/ but it’s hard when you REALLY LOVE this soup and you’re buying it everyday....and it would be cheaper to make it at home.
🙈

Maybe I should edit my post

I see so it’s like a trial and error thing I guess

One of my kids has a lot of food allergies, so I’ve asked for the ingredient list. But never the full recipe.
