We are considering moving to either Houston or Dallas. Where should I look on zillow for the frum communities? We are open chassidish type looking for an warm accepting community. Thanks!

In Houston, your only shul option will be the Young Israel (it's not a typical MO YI), which is 77071, but make sure to only look in the frum area around the shul, as the area beyond the frum neighborhood is not so safe or nice, to say the least.

In Dallas, you have a few neighborhood options, but would probably be most comfortable in Ohr HaTorah in 75230 if you can afford it. There are other cheaper neighborhoods, but this is the most right-wing.

You should know though that there are very few chassidim in either community, so make sure you'll be comfortable with that.

Love this home: https://www.zillow.com/homedet.....zpid/
And it's pretty close to the shul!

Look at zip code 75248 in North Dallas. Houses there are much more affordable than in South Dallas.

If you work with a frum broker you'll be able to specify your requirements such as being within the eruv & close proximity to a shul.

I live in 75248. Basically there are 2 Jewish neighborhoods in Dallas: 75248-75252 (North Eruv), and 75230 (South Eruv). The neighborhood where I live has several Orthodox shuls of all types (black-hat, Chofetz Chaim, Chabad, Sephardic) and if you want warm and accepting, it totally is!

I have no clue what the current job situation is in Dallas. Definitely do a job search before you think of moving there.

We were happy with Torah Day School of Dallas.

I think this is the largest house I’ve ever seen that only has two bedrooms. Would be great for a couple without kids (or kids all out of the house), though. Very well done.

Why would anyone want a huge house with only two bedrooms?
I guess you can turn the office into a bedroom...
