I like routines.
I have a routine for nighttime chores, a routine for getting ready for bed, a routine for getting kids ready for school.
But I don’t have a successful erev Shabbos routine and I typically am not successful at making Shabbos in a timely manner.
I am ADD and I don’t get started early enough.
I have a list of what needs to be done but not a routine.
Can anyone help me with a good routine for the day?
(Some food is already cooked, some needs to be defrosted etc...)

I don’t know what you need to get done Friday’s, but I can give you my routine and you can adjust according to your list

I have a cleaning lady that makes beds, does bathrooms and sweeps and mops. Otherwise I’d incorporate those tasks on my list.

7:30 Wake up before kids, Put up cholent in crockpot, put eggs in pot to cook
8:00 Wake up kids, get them dressed, fed breakfast And off to school
9:00 eat breakfast
Peel eggs, grate into container
Spice chicken and put into oven with timer
Marinate fish, put into fridge
9:30 bring ds to playgroup
Grocery, any other errands
11:00 be home, make kids lunch
12:00 playgroup pickup and kids are home, lunch
Play with kids
3:00 Bake fish, start kids bath time,
4:00 I shower
5:00 feed kids supper, put Shabbos food in warmer
6:00 tzin licht, set table

My "routine" is simple:
DO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE THURSDAY

I.e. set table (after kids go to sleep), or at the very least clean it and make sure it's ready for setting
cook fish, soup, eggs
make dips, sides

FRIDAY
all that's left to do is:
cook chicken
take kugel and challah out of freezer and heat up kugel
set table

I try to do that all while kids are in school

GOOD LUCK!

There's another recent thread I posted on. Maybe you'd find it helpful.
Here's something I hope you'll find encouraging: I don't remember especially elegant Shabbasos but my kids remember Shabbos cereal, treats, and activities, and most important, that I was calm erev Shabbos. (Which I sure don't rmeember Twisted Evil ) This is what they'll take, even if things aren't perfect. As if they would be.
Hatzlacha!

P.S. besides food, do Shabbos laundry at the beginning of the week!

I do the same.
I really try to finish all the cooking and cleaning (I dont have cleaning lady) thursday night including prepping cholent.
Friday morning before work all I do is salmon, put up in chicken in oven & put up cholent.

In the afternoon I do clean up again, set table, make something extra if there is time, laundry if there is time, showers...

This is my weekly Shabbos routine which works for my family right now:

Tuesday night - order the fish
Wednesday evening - cook the fish, soak chulent beans, defrost chicken
Thursday - cook chicken soup and chulent.
- make dips
- set the table
Friday - make kugel and ferfel
- cook eggs

The rest of the food we have for Shabbos, I make in bulk and freeze, so most weeks I'm just removing from the freezer: challah, lukshen, kneidlach. If my freezer stock gets low, I'll re-stock at the beginning of the week (Sunday-Tuesday).

Everyone has to find something that works for them, it's not one size fits all.
I do meat, soup, dips, and any sides on Thursday. Clean up kitchen.
If we're having homeade dessert, it's because I was in the mood of making dessert earlier in the week, it's not a Thursday/Friday activity.
Chulent is put up Friday morning, I bake the fish and reheat the Challah (that I bake whenever I have time) about an hour before the zman.

I make sure to have a full lunch around 12-1 for the whole family, either pizza (frozen or fresh), bagels, omelets, etc.

Everyone dies what works for them. In my house. Dh usually cleans the whole house Thursday night. I do cooking mostly Friday unless I have company then I do Thursday night. For example this week.
I happen to have gone shopping this morning but normally it's much earlier in the week.

I put up cholent and soup this morning. I am at work. When I get home:
Chicken wings
Chicken marsala
Roasted potatoes
I double the kugel so will overnight one from my freezer for tomorrow
I bake challah in bulk do I have plenty and will pull one out closer to Shabbos to warm up.
Make salmon, dips, noodles for soup or matza balls, side dish.
I make pastrami for kids to eat before Shabbos along with cholent. I put eggs in cholent before Shabbos.
Dessert I have baked goods and plenty of ices.
