Someone gave me a bunch of jalapenos.
I didn't have success last time I made dip with them.
And I am not too familiar with what to do with them.
Can anyone give me specific instructions or suggestions.
My kids love jalapeno dip (but like I said mine didn't come out good last time).
And we would want it mild (not overly spicy)
Please can you give me a foolproof kind of way to use them ?
TY

Use just 1-2 to a cup of mayo. Scrape out every last seed if you want it mild.
You can freeze them if you want to stretch them over a while. Mayo dips last a while too so you can make a lot at a time. I think there’s an exact recipe in the balebustas choice 2 but I don’t have time to find it now.

You can use the whole bag for this.

Or make a mild and sweet version with 2-3 raw jalapeños, 1 cup mayo and some sugar, garlic and salt.

My go to jalapeño dip recipe:

2 Medium Jalapeño Peppers
1 1/4 cups mayo
1 medium pickled hot pepper
3 cloves garlic
dash of salt

Blend all ingredients to desired consistency.

As someone above said, take out all the seeds and insides to make it more mild.

You can make a pepper dip:
Blend 6 red peppers, 3 cloves of garlic and 1-2 jalapeno pepper
Add cumin, 3 tbls. oil,2 tsp salt and a drop of sugar/
Mix, refrigerate

Goes really well in in sandwich or with challah on shabbos, my kids put it in the sandwich maker with hard cheese instead of ketchup.

I seed them, and freeze. Use as needed for heat in foods. We've had garden surplus of hot peppers.

I make stuffed jalapenos. I stuff then with refried beans place them in top of a bed of uncooked mexican rice and then bake them in oven in a covered pan. Its delicious. You can cover with cheese too at the end and do the last 10-30 minutes uncovered

Wear gloves when you cut them! Otherwise your eyes and other body parts will burn if you touch them.
