I have a closet/wardrobe for kids clothes and other stuff that has glass windows. I don't like that they are always open and would like to buy inexpensive shades or whatever else can be used to conceal the contents. Any suggestions?

This. Why waste money on blinds or shades? Paper can even be changed at will to reflect holidays, birthdays, seasons, and so on. Turn the glass panes to bulletin boards and cover with the kids' art work.
