My husband says its dirty but I have no idea how to wash it.

It should have washing instructions on the tag.
Take it to laundromat (you need a big machine for it), wash on cold and delicate.
We tried it and it came out like new.

I put it straight into my washing machine at home and then dry it in the dryer and then fold it up. I do that every year. Its completely fine that way.

If it's too large for a washing machine, you can power wash it

Mine is too big for washing machine I spot spray it with cleaner and let it dry
