Though this wasn't addressed to me, I'll answer: I'll also spend about $50 on a really good palette. I am very fair-skinned and have been told multiple times that lilac/lavender/purples look good on me.

Cool toned palettes- pinks are very trendy now, and super flattering. Purples and silvers aren’t so trendy anymore, silver is if it’s sparkly. You can get away with matte taupes.

The Anastasia soft glam palette is really pretty, but most of the colors are warm-toned. They make a mini version that singles out the cool ones. https://www.sephora.com/produc.....63420

Can anyone post links to a nice pallete that’s long lasting?

This brand is quite pricy but has amazing quality and pigmentation. This little palette (and I mean little, it’s tiny) is on sale for $14, though! I wear this frequently on shabbos because it lasts better than my other makeup.

I looove my Natasha Denona eyeshadows (also very pricey), and they last well throughout the day. But these Pat McGrath shadows have better longevity for shabbos. They are beautiful warm browns and golds.

This palette is gorgeous. Pretty cool toned. Amazing pigmentation and nice size pans, but only 5 colors.

Cheaper shadows may contain toxins and are not as simple to work with. Theres tons of fallout, not smooth, and may contain products that are actually banned... Also, they are old products and eyes are super sensitive and precious and should be treated as such.

Best primer overall, Hourglass Veil primer.

Actual studies have found as many toxins in high end.

Thanks! The thing is that browns/taupes look awful on me. They clash with my fair skin. I do wear some pinks, but mainly together with purples.

Maybe it’s just the warm browns that clash with your skin? You’re probably cool toned. I’m very fair but with a more neutral undertone, and I have no problem with browns.

Sounds like you need some cool mauve colors.
