I took my kids who had difficulty at the dentist to a hospital to have them put under to fix their teeth.
Why cant all four of his front teeth be saved???
I would see another dentist before I pull them.
How old is your child?

Oh and by the way I forgot to add that one of my girls will also need implants. The dentist already told us that the x Ray shows that she has no adult teeth under two of her front bottom teeth.
That’s just how she was born.

OP, please don't feel bad or guilty about this. sounds like you are juggling so much, everyone drops a ball!!!
my husband has a fake tooth and I never knew about it until after we were married.
two of my kids have significant dental decay on their top front teeth and I brush them almost every night!! I think it's genetics....so don't feel bad, he probably has a propensity towards decay or very thin enamel.
using a dental school is a great idea. there's also a dental clinic in monsey/new square area that does dental work on a sliding scale...I'm not sure if they do implants though...would anyone know that info and be able to post that? there's also a dr there, Dr Rudolph; he is really an expert and can advise if the teeth can be saved....do you live anywhere near here?

So much support here - wow I'm speechless
Any recommendations for a dentist who is good at dentures for kids?

Just so you know. Dentures need to be checked often and changed according to jaw, the bite and child's growth. If it's not done it can ruin the jaw bones and make it more complicated to place implants

OP, the dentist makes every mother feel like a failure at some point. Join the club. It's a temporary feeling and thank G-d this is something a dr can fix. I know the price is high.

Op I'm so sorry you're going through this.
If this makes you feel better, I just went through something crazy with my child who does take care of his teeth meticulously(OCD tendencies on the flip side of ADHD )
Plus we go religiously to the dentist. Guess what, after covid they found a whole lot of issues on one side of his mouth and the first specialist I went to see thought I was the most neglectful mother who never took this child to the dentist, until my regular dentist showed him our records. So this has less to do with you than you think. Please don't feel like a failure.
I went to 3 specialists to shop around and am still in the process but wanted to chime in here first to say that it's ok. And with G-ds help you'll figure this out. That's what I tell myself.
Please don't beat yourself up, and take it day by day.
If you're in NY I can give you some recommendations.
