I have some basic data entry work for QuickBooks, and know someone that’s done it in the past and can do it. She charged very little last job cuz they trained her etc.
What’s the going rate nowadays? I’m in Lakewood

I think it’s something like $1 per year of age, take off 20% for her female gender, then take off an additional 30% for her single status.

That should about do it.

No worries huggers, 8 years later I’m making over $160 an hour.

OP, why don’t you go by what she told you? Do you think it’s too much or too little?

Love it!
But seriously, op, if you trust her enough to hire her, why wouldn't you take her at her word when she stated an amount? Do you think she is lying??

Her age and gender have nothing to do with it. And it’s not “helping with bookkeeping” it’s a job in bookkeeping. And that’s the going rate in Lakewood from what I hear.

That is amazing!!!
Can I ask what you do?
I am clearly in the wrong field as I too started at my current position 7.5 years ago. With a masters degree, I was hired at $27/hour. I get a yearly increase of about 3%. (It's 2-3% based on your review). So you can do math.

I am in healthcare, but not an RN. I have worked in full PPE through the pandemic, and as a team player-nothing is not my job; screening patients for COVID or anything else.

Nothing like coming here and feeling valued.

Where? In what capacity?
I share my office with the MSW and she makes the same as I do. She is there about 4 years longer than I am and she is making about $2 / hour more than I do. We clearly are the fools!!!

Are you an LCSW who works in private practice and not take insurance?

$18 is on the low end for an office job here . I would say most decent jobs start $20 or higher

Yes, private practice and I charge less than anyone I know.

I’ve made up to $90/hr in an agency. I left that job for various reasons and started at an agency that pays $60/hr - lower salary but I like the work there better. My plan is to work there in addition to my private practice.

In some places, LCSWs and LMFTs make $90,000 a year.

Yes, and that comes out to $43 and change an hour, and that is not starting salary. Hardly $160.

Scratching Head This can't be true.
Your algorithm doesn't include a variable for her mode of dress- nebby or with-it.
